Kite Club Hatteras
IKOAvon
Kite Club Hatteras is a small, personal IKO school on the canal in Avon, with its own boat and jet-ski support to run guests out to private, knee-to-waist-deep flats. It teaches kite and foil at every level, runs IKO instructor courses and a gear shop, and keeps light-wind days busy with kayak, SUP and e-foil, alongside its own kite-house lodging.
Also a kite houseCape Hatteras is the US East Coast's kite mecca, a thin barrier island where a vast, waist-deep sound sits a few hundred metres from the open Atlantic. The Pamlico Sound flats off Waves, Rodanthe and Salvo are shallow and sandy-bottomed for miles, which makes them arguably the best place in America to learn, while the ocean side serves up wind and waves for stronger riders. The villages are compact and kite-centric, home of REAL Watersports and its famous learn-to-kite camps.
