Founded in 2000, Kitecabana is one of Cumbuco's longest-running kite schools, running individual courses of eight to ten hours over four to five days for all levels, plus wingfoil. Praia de Cumbuco & Cauípe lagoon
Founded in 2013, Kitepoeira is a small family-run school that teaches structured beginner-to-independence courses of around ten hours, roughly eighty per cent on the ocean and twenty per cent at the Cauípe lagoon. Lead instructor Júnior holds IKO Level 2 Manager status, and the school runs lessons in Portuguese, English and German, including kids' and women's options.

Cumbuco beachfront (Windtown Beach Hotel)
Windtown operates a full-service centre on the Cumbuco beachfront in front of the Windtown Beach Hotel, with private lockers, Duotone rental and supervised beach service. IKO-certified since 2001, it runs a structured 'Learn to Downwind' camp and accompanied downwinders to the Cauípe lagoon, with an on-site hotel, bar and restaurant.
