Flag Beach, Corralejo
Flag Beach has operated on the Corralejo bay since 1999 and is the only VDWS-certified centre in the north, issuing VDWS kite licences directly. Courses run from one to five days with small instructor ratios, and beach equipment storage and rental are available for independent riders.

Flag Beach, Corralejo
Natural Sense was the first official IKO-certified school in the north and caps every course at two students per instructor with on-water radio. Alongside beginner courses it runs advanced freestyle, wave, and strapless clinics, including sessions with visiting pro competitors.

Corralejo / El Cotillo
RedShark teaches mainly from a boat, using open water to avoid crowded beaches for beginners and to reach waves and strapless conditions for advanced riders. It runs dedicated wave and strapless coaching camps and covers foil and wing alongside kite.

El Cotillo
Fuerte Active teaches on the shallow flat-water lagoon at El Cotillo, capping classes at two students per instructor with a support boat. It is one of the few island operators to run IKO instructor certification courses, and also teaches at Isla de Lobos.

Flag Beach / El Cotillo
Point Break runs beginners at whichever of Flag Beach or the El Cotillo lagoon suits the day's conditions, with packages from a first-experience intro through to a full rider course. Advanced riders can book wave-strapless and downwind sessions, and a wind-condition refund policy applies.

Matas Blancas, Costa Calma
Matas Bay sits on the wide flat-water lagoon at Matas Blancas, where strong thermal wind blows through the summer. Lessons use jetski support and radio headsets to avoid long downwind walks, with twin-tip and strapless options.

Sotavento / Jandia
Based in Morro Jable, Surfers Island covers the widest range in the south, taking students to the Sotavento lagoon for kite and to La Pared and Jandia for surf. It is VDWS-certified and offers free hotel transfer across the south resort strip, with a full refund if conditions prevent a lesson.
Fuerteventura is one of Europe's most reliable summer kite destinations, with the trade winds blowing across two very different zones: the shallow Flag Beach bay and El Cotillo lagoons in the north, and the vast Sotavento tidal lagoon in the south, a world-famous flat-water playground.
The kite season in Fuerteventura runs Apr–Oct, and most reliable from Jun–Sep. Expect around 15–25 kt, typically the Trade winds (NE).
