La Franqui (Coussoules)
KitePulsion is run by Thomas Kraemer, who has taught at Leucate since 2002 and trains new instructors for the FFVL. Lessons are capped at three students with real-time radio communication, and the school carries the EFK quality label at La Franqui's Coussoules beach.

La Franqui (Coussoules)
KSL is the reference operation at Coussoules beach, gathering wind-sport riders at La Franqui since 2004 and now teaching the merged TomTom Kite team under its umbrella. It runs safety boats, rental, and courses structured from discovery through to competition level.

Salses-Leucate lagoon
KiteSchool-Leucate teaches on the etang rather than the open sea, with shallow flat water that suits absolute beginners. Groups are capped at three, a foil simulator is available for progression, and the school runs guided supervised navigation on the lagoon.

Port Leucate lagoon
SKYFLY transports students by boat to a small lagoon island in shallow water with no other riders around, giving full use of the space. Instructors have over twenty years of experience, all gear including a radio helmet is provided, and wingfoil has been offered since 2025.
Leucate is one of the strongest kite destinations in southern France, where the Tramontane blows hard and often across two very different spots: the flat, shallow Salses-Leucate lagoon for learning, and the exposed La Franqui beach for wind and waves. It hosts the Mondial du Vent each spring.
The kite season in Leucate runs Mar–Nov, and most reliable from Apr–Oct. Expect around 15–30 kt, typically the Tramontane (NW).
