Kite Prasonisi
IKOPrasonisi
Kite Prasonisi holds a prime beach position on the Prasonisi sandbar at the southern tip of Rhodes, teaching kite, wing-foil and surf across all levels. It runs a large modern Duotone rental fleet, Big Air clinics and a where-to-stay concierge, and is the anchor kite-specific operation on a beach otherwise dominated by windsurf centres.

Surf & Kite Theologos
VDWSTheologos (NW coast)
Surf & Kite Theologos is the most complete watersports centre on Rhodes' north-west coast, near the airport at Theologos beach. It teaches kite, windsurf, wing and surf with a large rental fleet, fifty storage boxes, a beach café and jet-ski rescue, and runs its own on-site accommodation at Logos Beach Village behind the station.

Wetskillz Kite Center
IKOTheologos (NW coast)
Wetskillz is an IKO-affiliated kite centre on Theologos beach, widely described as the island's dedicated IKO school, teaching kite and wing-foil at every level. It runs equipment rental, storage, a rescue service and a bar-restaurant, bundles lessons with its own kite-camp accommodation, and organises downwind trips to Prasonisi.
Also a kite houseRhodes is the biggest Meltemi kite hub in Europe, with two very different zones on one island. At the southern tip, Prasonisi is a sandy tombolo with a flat, shallow lagoon on its leeward side for learning and open Aegean chop on the other, so you can progress on butter-flat water and ride waves a few hundred metres away. The north-west coast around Ialysos, Kremasti and Theologos runs a touch softer and sits close to Rhodes town, where most of the island's schools and kite camps are based.

Common questions
When is the best time to learn in Rhodes?
The kite season in Rhodes runs Apr–Oct, and most reliable from Jul–Aug. Expect around 15–30 kt, typically the Meltemi (NW).
Is Rhodes good for beginners?
Rhodes suits all levels. It is known for stronger wind, so beginners are best starting on the lighter days with one of the schools here.
Do I need to bring my own gear?
No. The 3 schools in Rhodes include equipment in their lessons, and most also rent kites and boards once you can ride independently.
How long does it take to get riding?
Most people need roughly six to twelve hours over three to five days to get up and riding upwind on their own. The schools in Rhodes run this as a structured course rather than one-off sessions.
What should I bring?
Just swimwear and sun protection. The schools provide everything else: kite, board, harness and a wetsuit. The water here runs 19–25°C.
Should I book lessons ahead?
Yes, especially around the Jul–Aug peak, when the wind is most reliable and courses fill up. Booking ahead also lets the school match you to the right instructor and conditions.
